Melissa has always had a passion for arts, creating meticulous work on any form of canvas. Her interest in cosmetics peaked when she realized she could combine her nursing and artistic skills to help people feel and look their best.

Melissa began her career in 2016, working on an inpatient unit in her hometown. After moving to Ottawa, she gained extensive knowledge working at CHEO for over 5 years. Melissa Combines her nursing experience with her interest in aesthetics allowing her to meet her client’s needs.

Dr. Javidnia has focused her professional career on facial cosmetic surgery – thus helping people to restore, correct or modify the most prominent feature a person presents to the world: their face.

After graduating from Western University with a Bachelor of Science (Honors in Human Physiology), Dr. Javidnia went on to complete her medical and residency training in Otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) and Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Ottawa. In the final report of her five-year residency, Dr. Javidnia was hailed as one of the best surgeons to have ever gone through the program. From Ottawa she moved west to complete the University of California prestigious and world-renowned fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Wanting to round out her understanding of the patient experience, Dr. Javidnia has completed a Masters Degree in Public Health at Harvard University.

Dr. Matthew Bromwich is a Board Certified Otolaryngology Surgeon, Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.  Dr. Bromwich is the inventor of several medical devices and holds five medical patents.  In 2005, Dr. Bromwich founded SHOEBOX, which employs over 100 people and develops and distributes medical devices worldwide. It was acquired in 2018.

Dr. Bromwich has published more than 30 papers and four book chapters in his field. In 2014, he won the national “TELUS Award for mHealth Innovation”and the David E. Mitchel prize at the 2018 Manning Innovation Awards.

Mr. Mitchell Kutney has worked in health care management in hospitals for nearly a decade, responsible for portfolios spanning finance, technology and operations. With a background in directing programs and a Master’s in Policy from Carleton University, he brings a strong understanding of critical organizational functions as well as people management to Ease Aesthetics.

In 2021, Mitchell was the recipient of the national Disrupter of the Year Award on behalf of Bruyère for his team’s work in innovation and technology in a health care setting. His passion for new ways of doing business and leveraging technology is what brought him to join Dr. Matthew Bromwich and Melissa in founding Ease Aesthetics.
